In the Faroe Islands, all schools are accessible and free to everyone. If you have a child or children who will be attending the public primary school, you must first arrange a meeting at the school.
The office is located in the public school (Vágs Skúli) at Vágsvegur 32. You can visit the school during business hours or call the office to make an appointment.

The High School in Suðuroy
The high school enrolls approx. 100 students in 9 different classes. The high school offers upper secondary education, where students can choose between 5 different streams. For more information, visit the high school's website here.
In Vágur and on Suðuroy you will find various educational opportunities as an adult, where you are free to apply and almost all educations are free of charge.

Faroese language lessons - Faroese as second language
The island’s Evening schools offer newcomers to Vágur and Suðuroy a Faroese language training and culture understanding course. Participants will learn to speak and understand the Faroese language and culture. Lessons are at various levels, depending on the participant’s language abilities.
The language lessons are CEFR-standard recognised.
