Daycare Services
The municipal daycare services include nursery, kindergarten, after-school program, and youth center.
The nursery and kindergarten are located at the Eikilund Daycare Center. The kindergarten classroom, Sóljan, is situated in Vágur School. Sóljan is intended for children in their final year before starting primary school.
The after-school program is a recreational offering for children in 1st and 2nd grade. The after-school program is housed in the same facility as the Youth Center.

Apply for a place in the daycare services of Vágur Municipality here. The daycare services include Eikilund Kindergarten, the oldest class Sóljan (pre-school program), and the after-school program.

Nursery
- Full-time is DKK 1,800 for 11 months (July free).
- Part-time is DKK 900 for 11 months (July free).
Kindergarten
- Full-time is DKK 1,800 for 11 months (July free).
- Part-time is DKK 900 for 11 months (July free).
After-school Program
- The cost is DKK 1,000 for 10 months (July and August free).
Sibling Discount
If multiple siblings are enrolled in the municipal daycare services, the maximum cost for a family is DKK 3,500.

Eikilund Daycare Center
Eikilund Daycare Center has six classes: two nursery and four kindergarten classes. Eikilund is licensed for 90 children, comprising 66 kindergarten children and 24 nursery children. In addition to the six classes, the center has several common areas where the children play. Outside, there is a large playground for the children. Sóljan
Sóljan is designed for children in the municipality who have one year left in kindergarten before they start primary school. Sóljan has space for about 20 children, but the number can vary from year to year. This means that there is always space for all children who have one year left before starting school. After-School Program
The after-school program is a recreational offering for children in 1st and 2nd grades. The program starts after classes end at Vágur School for the aforementioned grades. The after-school program focuses heavily on creativity, where educational values and the annual cycle are cornerstones of the program. Parent Intranet - Spírin
Vágur Municipality has a parent intranet used for communication between the childcare services and the parents. In the parent intranet, information from the services is posted for the parents. This may include information specific to certain classes or to the entire childcare area. Parents can also communicate one-on-one with the relevant center about anything, and likewise, the centers can send messages to specific parents. Parents can create a user account here.
